TTGE continues to grow Toyota’s community of young brand enthusiasts through the value it brings to South Africa’s gaming and creator communities, providing access for casual players, competitive gamers and, this year, the country’s cosplay community.

A FIRST FOR COSPLAY

Toyota’s TTGE Cosplay Competition brings cosplay to cars for the first vehicle-specific cosplay category of its kind in South Africa. Entrants can create original designs inspired by any Toyota vehicle, from literal recreations to futuristic, humanoid or stylised interpretations.

Entries close 25 September at ttge.co.za/comic-con-africa-2026. Open to 18+ Comic Con Africa ticket holders, individuals or teams of up to four. Entrants will receive a TTGE Cosplay Starter Pack with brand assets and build guidance.

Live judging takes place on the Comic Con Africa Main Stage, Saturday 26 September, 15h00–15h30, with check-in at the TTGE stand at 14h30. Entries will be judged on creativity, Toyota interpretation, craftsmanship, innovation and stage presence.

Prizes:
1st: R10,000 + Toyota GAZOO Racing driving experience for two + CCA 2027 weekend passes for three
2nd: R3,000 eGift24 voucher + CCA 2027 weekend passes
3rd: R1,500 eGift24 voucher + CCA 2027 weekend passes

Additional daily prizes will be awarded at the TTGE stand throughout the show.

AN EXPANDED STAND EXPERIENCE

An Expanded Stand Experience

TTGE will take over the Comic Con Africa Main Stage for 30-minute daily sessions, featuring Load The Hilux from Thursday to Sunday and the Cosplay Competition on Saturday.

The TTGE stand will offer free-to-play gaming across sim racing, console and mobile, alongside daily tournaments, leaderboards, Beat The Pro challenges and prizes.

Beyond the stand, fans can take on the physical Load The Hilux challenge in the food court, spot the roaming Hilux Transformer for a chance to win R15,000 in eGift vouchers, and experience the Drift X precision driving activation featuring Toyota GR vehicles.
