What happens when you refuse to specialize? MONKEEMOTO has built a career that spans digital art, avatar design, and brand collaboration — all without settling into a single discipline. As one of only four global Digital Artists in Residence for Adidas and a member of the brand's Digital Avatar Taskforce, he's helped shape the direction of an entire official collection from the inside. His work has traveled from debuting in South Korea at The Gateway 2023 to a solo exhibition at NoX Gallery in Shibuya. In this session, MONKEEMOTO breaks down how staying multidisciplinary became his biggest career asset rather than a liability — and how creatives can build sustainable, boundary-crossing practices instead of picking one lane and sticking to it. Expect real talk on navigating brand partnerships, moving between mediums, and turning a broad creative identity into lasting opportunity.
Join us for a special artist spotlight session featuring Sean Izaakse, an international comic book artist whose credits read like a greatest-hits list of the industry. At Marvel Comics, Sean has lent his pencils to fan-favorite titles including The Fantastic Four, Deadpool, and Avengers. Over at DC Comics, his work has appeared in Green Arrow and Challengers of the Unknown. His art has also crossed over into tabletop gaming, with contributions to the Mutants & Masterminds TTRPG. In this session, Sean will share stories from his career working with two of comics' biggest publishers, talk about the differences between illustrating for print versus tabletop games, and give attendees a look into his creative process. Come with your questions — and maybe a sketchbook for signing! When he's not at the drawing board, Sean can usually be found deep in a match of Marvel Rivals with friends, or attending to the daily demands of his two cats — who, we're told, consider themselves his top priority regardless of deadlines. Don't miss this chance to hear directly from an artist who's helped bring some of Marvel and DC's most iconic characters to the page.
