Thandi Moagi was born and raised in Soweto, where she spent much of her childhood with her grandmother before later moving to Lawley, where she still lives today. She matriculated from Ennerdale Secondary School and went on to work in retail (Woolworths) for several years before pursuing her lifelong passion for writing. Thandi began writing in 2023 and has since built a loyal following on Facebook with her emotionally rich stories that blend love, suspense, and South African culture.
