My name is Shante, and I run Harajuku, a Japanese and Korean pop culture business based in South Africa. We specialise in anime merchandise, manga, Japanese streetwear, and creating interactive experiences for the anime community through conventions and events. As a long-time anime fan myself, I love creating activities that bring people together and celebrate these series in unique ways.
We may also have a special guest chef assisting with the cooking demonstration from Market Kokoro.
To make the experience even more interactive and immersive, we might also get a cosplayer from One Piece or Studio Ghibli films to come up and participate as part of the session.
I would like to host a One Piece and/or Studio Ghibli cookbook session featuring the official cookbooks from the anime series. The session will include an explanation of what to except from the book, samples for attendees to try, and a fun quiz where participants can answer questions to win prizes. The goal is to create an interactive experience for anime fans while also promoting the official cookbooks and bringing iconic dishes from these beloved series to life.
