Rionna Roni is a South African children’s author, entrepreneur and digital transformation leader at one of South Africa’s top four banks. With nearly two decades of experience in business analysis, process engineering and digital transformation, she has built a career around turning ideas into meaningful solutions, leading change and making possibilities a reality.

Her latest venture began with a simple idea: what if a children’s book could be more than a story? The result was Butterfly Wishes: Building Confidence Through Self-Belief — an interactive storybook and feelings journal created to help children understand their emotions, express themselves and build confidence from an early age.

For Rionna, becoming an author was an unexpected chapter in a career built in the world of business and technology. Yet the same qualities that have shaped her leadership journey — curiosity, creativity, resilience and the courage to try something new — became the foundation for bringing Butterfly Wishes to life.
