Paul Louise-Julie is a French-American filmmaker, writer, production designer and the founder of Sanu Wara Studios. His work blends genre cinema with political and historical subtext, drawing from African, Afro-diasporic and global mythologies.

He is the creator of Yohance, an original African space-opera IP and the foundation of the Ikoro Shared Universe, an interconnected Afrofuturist franchise spanning film, animation and comics. He is also the founder of Midas Monkee, an independent comic imprint specializing in Afro Fantasy and original mythologies.

Paul’s work is highly visual and design-driven, often serving as writer, art director and production designer, with a focus on power, identity and resistance.
