As a South African voice actor, animator and creative, I create content that brings local culture, humour and storytelling into worlds you wouldn't necessarily expect to find them in. I’m best known for creating Afrikaans dubs of anime and games, using voice acting, comedy and animation to show just how well Afrikaans can work in characters and stories that were never originally written for it.
But more than that, I’m also a character creator, animator, world builder and storyteller, constantly developing original characters and strange little worlds of my own — often blending South African culture with anime, gaming, retro influences, etc
My goal is ultimately to prove that Afrikaans isn’t limited to one kind of story or audience. Whether I’m voicing a character, animating a scene, building a world or simply giving ouens a laugh, I want to show what can happen when local creativity is given the freedom to play in any world.
