Rainbow Nation Comics was established in 2018 as South Africa’s first creator-owned comic book publisher and youth culture brand by the Dibodu Brothers, Phemelo, (a Public Relations graduate, recording artist as well as writer) and Omphile, (a Bachelor of Commerce in Honours Marketing Management graduate, visual and digital artist), who, after both obtaining their respective qualifications from the University of Johannesburg, decided to come together to create a special story about their small hometown of Rustenburg, through their flagship comic book title “Young Nelson”, inspired by the life and times of Tata Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela, the fictional character takes to heart Tata Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela’s words to the youth of South Africa that “it is in your hands now”.

MoAfrika, a 21-year-old South African citizen who, through an act of kindness to an old lady he would come to know as Mama Afrika, gains supernatural abilities that allow him to change the course of humanity for the greater good.
