I am a concept artist working from Cape Town. I studied Fine Art at Stellenbosch University,
majoring in oil painting and, later, spent a year at Friends of Design to become more familiar
with the digital medium. Since 2018, I’ve worked in the film industry, creating concepts for
environments, VFX, creatures and robots. I’m thankful to have worked with many production
companies including Warners Bros, Paramount, Sony etc. I’m fascinated by the process of
learning and building mental connections between differing skills, eg. digital painting vs. 3d
modeling vs model painting. I also love to give away industry secrets to aspiring concept artists!
In terms of extracurricular interest I like dogs and Gimli.
