My name is Kamogelo Mashele, professionally known as Kamo.THeARTii$T, coming from the south side ofJohannesburg, South Africa. For I am consumed with visceral surety that my art speaks on its own and has somewhat become my voice. I will forever be grateful to myself, for soldiering on with a multitude of odds that were against me. For the perseverance of my dreams in the art world as an visual storyteller made me believe that this is more that just a dream, it’s deeper than that, it truly is my life. I have a very sheer passion and desire in animations from my childhood, I watched and I was exposed to a lot of animé like Dragonball Z, Naruto, The Boondocks, most of Cartoon Networks shows like Kids Next Door, and many more. Thus, earnestly began the trajectory of my life and quickly, with great dexterity I began drawing with the influence and inspiration from the cartoons I saw. Often pondering upon artwork makes me compellingly internalise the artists feelings, where their voice may lie and if they’re experiences were almost anything like my own. I believe fine arts, illustrations and animations are a form of visual storytelling in many societal themes like pop culture.I would like to think of myself as a man with very few words to speak when it comes to upcoming work I guess that they are going to have to watch and see for what’s to come!
