Clyde Beech is a Cape Town born visual artist and storyteller. Even though he grew up withadverse circumstances in the Cape Flats, he was driven and motivated to reach his dreamof becoming a professional artist.

He now specialises in comic book art and sequential visual story telling. He is a skilled digital artist with a skill-set that includes illustration, colour art, digital painting, character design and visual story telling. He’s worked on and contributed in the development some of the top comic books in the country, such as South Africa’s favourite super hero comic, Kwezi, as well as the widely distributed soccer comic, Supa Strikas which he Art Directed for the last few years. He’s had a brief stint in 2D animation as a background, prop and texture artist. Working on shows for Disney Junior, UK and Cookie Jar Entertainment, Canada. He loves reading and has an encyclopaedic knowledge of comics, enjoys gaming, pop culture and has a background in martial arts.

Clyde’s ultimate goal is to inspire and build a viable platform and infrastructure for future artist and creatives in South Africa.
