Having kicked off his career at Diprente Studios, Simangaliso PANDA Sibaya is a Soweto-born, South African artist who started as a Visual Developer, Concept Artist, and Character Designer. Major studios he has since worked for include Netflix, Sony Animation, and Dreamworks. He also worked as a Director on an African animated anthology series for Disney+. His time in the industry has helped him to refine his own series, ISHA THE FLAME, and has led him to co-found the visual development studio Tribal Universe, which is currently developing a slate of innovative African shows and feature films. He enjoys and practices both traditional and digital forms of art and is inspired by his culture and the world around him.
