Writer, Director, and Actor
A writer, director, and actor. Raphael describes himself as a multi-disciplinary artist who focuses on the performing arts, literature,
and film. As a writer he has been mentored by renowned South African author Mike Nicol. He wrote and directed Nightmares a
performance art film for the National Arts Festival. He also worked on Nightmares & Nike Airs, a multi-media art project that
included music, poetry, fine art photography ,and a 15 min art film. He is currently working on graphic novel titled "Zwide", which
he plans to develop into a full- length animated feature film. He has successfully completed writing programmes with New York
Film Academy, Penguin Random House, African Filmmakers Academy and KZN Film Commission. He is currently enrolled into the
identity school of acting & undergoing a social entrepreneurship programme with GIBS.
