Kutlwano was born and raised in Katlehong, a bustling township in the east of Johannesburg. His dad was a musician on the local scene and although Kutlwano never saw him perform... many believe that his dad left him a legacy of performing music.

In April 2021, amidst the covid pandemic, Kutlwano started performing at busy traffic intersections around Johannesburg as a last resort to bring in extra money. Standing at the robots with nothing but a microphone and speaker, he would sing his favourite covers of well known songs and started to get donations from the public and followers to his social media channels.

This talented young performer soon became the talk of the town, with his humble nature and his unique busking performances. The local community started rallying behind Kutlwano and he was being picked up and promoted on Facebook groups.

Word of mouth soon moved to publicity and Kutlwano was invited to tell his story and share his talent on radio stations and news articles. In an interview on Jacaranda FM with Martin Bester and the morning show in July 2022, Kutlwano was presented with a incredible opportunity by Bidfood South Africa to perform his first corporate gigs to over 200 people at Sun City for a group of international delegates, and learn the ropes of the industry from tech setup with the team from the AV Room, to performances with the likes of Godfrey & Nash, Craig Urbani, Tracey-Lee Oliver, Rubber Duc, Dr Victor & the Rasta Rebels.

Kutlwano with his relaxed style has since performed at Awards Evenings, Restaurants, Pubs, Hotels, Markets, Shopping Malls, Birthday Parties, Weddings and other Private Events.
