Chris Valentine “Chris Valentine is an artist and illustrator from Johannesburg, South Africa. His high school love of guitar, metal music and album covers led him to pursue a career in illustration. Starting out with a gap year at Rivers Church, he honed his graphic design skills and started freelancing in 2010, gradually building a client base through advertising illustration, street art and gallery shows. In 2021, Chris got his first opportunity in the alternative movie poster scene, working on privately commissioned pieces, and then getting his first gig in the licensed poster scene with Bottleneck Gallery. Chris has subsequently worked with studios like Lucasfilm, Warner Brothers and Disney on officially licensed print runs and marketing artwork, as well as companies like Sideshow and Super7. He works predominantly in oil paints and is hoping to help bring traditional art back to the movie poster world!”
