I am a 22 year old with a passion for life! I love to travel, read and quite obviously sew. I enjoy a challenge and love trying new things! When I do something I give it 100% and never quit. Art is my therapy and makes living worth a whole lot more! I am excited for this amazing opportunity.

I have always been a multi-media creative. When I applied to University, my first choice field was Filmmaking and my backups were: Costume Design and Fashion design. I’ve made a few cosplays, dresses, and gowns over the years. My favorite thing about sewing is the satisfaction when a project is complete.

I’ve been sewing for many years, and recently my interest has turned to historical reproduction – which does overlap with cosplay of course! I have a very big me-made wardrobe that ranges across many aesthetics, from cottagecore to punk. Sewing is only one of many hobbies, but it is the one I spend the most time on.

I’m a cosplayer, but love sewing and make a lot of my own clothes. I love the creative process and being able to wear my creation is so fulfilling. Being mom of 2 (including a newborn) limits my time, so I hope the sew-a-thon kicks me back into gear :).

I’m a fashion writer from Johannesburg, exploring historical dress and contemporary costume. I spend my free time researching and constructing costume and dress with a sustainable practice.

I am the creator and owner of Nautical Creations (.co.za). I have two cosplay titles under my belt. I have been crafting full time since 2020 and have created over 20 furries and other projects. Hello, my name is Rachel. I am a 25 year old fashion designer. I have been sewing since grade 10, my first garment I made was a lace shirt that ended up not fitting me. I would really like to be a part of CCA Sew-a-ton because I haven’t been using my skills for the past year and I’m ready to get back into it and be creative. Plus I love superhero movies and fantasy movies. I have seen every Marvel movie and went to the premiere of Dr. Strange multiverse of madness. I think me loving these things will help me with any brief given in this competition.

I would describe myself as art.enthusiastic, passionate about things that I have interest in, focused, and always trying to learn new things . I try lo look at difficult situations as a chance to grow rather than something to be afraid of .i am an  art  culture lover .

I am a self taught seamstress, I love making dresses and accessories, apart from sewing I’m a dedicated horse rider as well as a gaming enthusiast.

I would love to say I am a creative, I am person who is naturally given when it comes to using my hands. I am saying this because at school I was not really good hence I had to drop out after I have failed my Grade 10 twice and started focusing more on my talent by going to school of sewing. Seeing  became my place of escape and my bread and butter.

Sewing has been part of my life since I can remember. Reflecting on most of my life’s decisions has inherently come down to fashion as art, and craft to make up fashion.

I am a higher certificate fashion design student at Stadio. Iike fashion, music and art. I am positive, passionate and hardworking person.

The passion for fashion started when I was only six years old. I would sew fabrics together without even knowing how the should be sew. My dream is to boost my confidence and show myself that I can do anything to the best of my ability. I like new challenges thrown my way and experiment with them specially with new fabrics an textiles.

I have always been very creative and artistic. My main passion has always been fabric painting, expanding in to sewing, to create unique and personalized items. Over the last few years I have had to expand on my sewing knowledge and ventured into clothing making.  This competition will not only test my creative and artistic abilities, but teach me many new things and introduce me to a world I have only very dreamed of being a part of.

I am a young vibrant designer finding his niche looking at inspiration on art and architecture trying to create new clothes listening to music trying to come up with concepts that will work for the modern day wear.

I am a vibrant and confident fashion design student, and I have my heart completely set on costume design. I am also a Marvel Cinematic Universe fanatic, with a love/hate relationship with DC. Deadpool is my favorite anti-superhero, and one of my favorite costume designers amongst a reputable few is Ruth E. carter, The way in which she merged afrofuturism and costume design into one was both tasteful and paid respect to African cultures without loosing the essence of the character or the plot. This will be my first competition and also my first comic con as I have been looking to get into cosplay and now I am finally taking the steps and measures to actually take part in it. I’m excited!

My name is William the second I’ve been in love with fashion from since I was a child. Started a clothing brand in 2016 and was only able to study fashion 2021 since I started studying fashion I have started a sustainable brand and did my own fashion series featuring other 5 designers and I hosted two fashion shows.
