Louise Callcott-Stevens is the co-Founder and CEO of EarCandy, the world’s leading content localization provider in Africa. A seasoned entrepreneur with more than 25 years’ experience in African media, Louise has grown EarCandy from a small postproduction studio to a global industry leader. 

A fierce African mother tongue advocate, Louise’s strategic skills, international business experience, and creative vision position her as an authority on African Entertainment and Media localization. Voted in the top 10 most influential leadersin the Localization industry two years running, her passion and respect for her continent’s rich linguistic and cultural landscape motivates her vision to share Africa’s unique stories with the rest of the world. 

Louise has chaired the Entertainment Globalization Association Education Committee, been interviewed by industry authority Nimdzi, published by Multilingual magazine, and presented at 

Locworld 2022, Silicon Valley. With a post graduate diploma from AAA School of Advertising, and a qualification in Women’s Leadership from the University of Stellenbosch Business School, she’s been responsible for the launch of several initiatives aimed at developing women within her industry and has taken part in various international leadership programmes. 

Born in Canada to a Zambian father and South African mother, her non-conformist and natural entrepreneurial abilities enable her to make quick decisions, take calculated risks, and create new rules when required. Complimenting her highly driven and competitive nature, she is a natural raconteur and bon vivant who is convinced she has Nigerian ancestors and was an Igbo chieftain in a previous life.
