Comic Artist - IMBOKODO
My name is Katlego Motaung, but you can call me Kat. Under my pen name, DeadKatBarks, I bring my illustrations and digital art to life. Born and raised in Mafikeng (now Mahikeng), I spent much of my childhood immersed in the world of art, both creating and consuming it. After graduating from Mafikeng High School, I pursued my passion further by studying Multimedia Design at the University of Johannesburg. In 2012, I earned my degree from UJ and embarked on a career in advertising production, where I worked as a Motion Graphics Designer and storyboard artist. After gaining valuable experience in the industry, I decided to follow my own path as an illustrator.
