Ethan Spicer, is an aspiring voice actor, who has honed his skills under the mentorship of Craig Ross at the South African Voice Over Academy (SAVOA). Influenced by his love for anime, Spicer has been an avid fan of Awali Comics, supporting and enjoying Siri Watu since it first appeared at conventions in 2017.
This session at Otaku Town features the work of Ziyaad Rahman, a key figure in the Afromanga movement. Rahman is the creator of "Siri Watu," his manga series that exemplifies the fusion of African storytelling with Japanese manga-style artistry. During this 25-minute session, Rahman will share his experiences, artistic process, and the cultural significance of his work, particularly focusing on "Siri Watu."
